“Blak queer people have always used storytelling as resistance and celebration. Opportunities like this create space for us to tell our own stories on our own terms. Our communities hold layered identities and powerful narratives that need time and support to be realised on the page. Magabala's Pride Fellowship honours the depth of our cultures and the courage it takes to write from lived truth.”

- Bebe Oliver, Deputy Chair of Magabala Books
