Congratulations to Luke Patterson on being shortlisted for the Mary Gilmore Award for his collection of poetry A Savage Turn.

The Mary Gilmore award is given for the best first book of poetry published in the previous calendar year.

The awarding of the prize is administered and judged by a panel of three judges established by ASAL, this years judges are aj carruthers (chair), Bella Li, and Autumn Royal.

The winner will be announced July 2026.
