Dr. Anita Heiss is an accomplished Wiradjuri writer and advocate who grew up in Dharawal country near La Perouse. She is a prolific writer of non-fiction, memoir, commercial fiction, historical fiction, and children’s literature, and has lectured and presented on the topic of Indigenous writing for many years.
