Jack McPhee was a Nyamal man, born around 1905 in Moolyella in the Pilbara region of north Western Australia. Jack earned his living as a stockman, prospector, mechanic, blacksmith and truck driver, working hard to raise his family. He had six children who attended school in Marble Bar. He witnessed many milestones events in Australian history including the introduction of the Exemption Certificate and Citizenship and the end of the First and Second World War.
