Morndi Munro

Morndi Munro (deceased) was a man from Merarra, an area of land surroundinging the Isadell River in the remote area of the northern Kimberley. Morndi also became custodian for many other stories and sites intersecting with Merarra  — thousands of square kilometres, from the saltwater country in the north through the river systems of the Napier and King Leopold Ranges to the desert country in the south. He worked as a head stockman for many stations and was an extraordinary linguist.

His book, Emerarra: A Man of Merarra, is no longer in print. Contributors to Morndi's story include; Campbell Allenbar (Allenbrae), Daisy Anggjit (Beharrell), Weeda Nyanulla (Munro) and Banjo Worrunmurra.
