Reg Birch is the author of Wyndham Yella Fella. This book is no longer in print.

Reg was born at Forrest River Mission and educated in the Kimberley town of Wyndham. He has worked as a rigger, coxswain, underwater demolition diver, drover, bird trapper, tourist guide and community advisor. Reg has been active in the local, state, national and international political arenas since the 1960s, and in 1990 he was named ‘Aboriginal of the Year’. Ten years later he received an Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
