We thank our generous supporters

Our supporters help to:

  • improve literacy rates by developing relevant content for Indigenous readers
  • promote positive Indigenous role models in the broader community
  • build the skills and capacity of young and emerging writers and illustrators
  • raise cultural awareness through our publications and promotions
  • create Indigenous economic opportunities through the payment of royalties, employment and professional development
  • encourage Indigenous people to record their stories
  • capture in print, cultural and historical information for future generations
  • ensure disadvantaged children have access to titles by Magabala Books
  • keep the Magabala Books ‘engine room’ running, and
  • produce high quality publications in the competitive commercial book market.

The following people are making a difference

Tony Lee

There are a few things in my life that I am passionate about and truly believe in. I am an Eagles supporter and can't get enough of their action on the field. I have also been a Magabala supporter since 2004 and love the idea that my monthly donation makes a difference in telling so many stories from our mob that would otherwise not be told. In this small way, I feel like I can make an impact whether I am on or off the field!
