Bip lives by a billabong in the Australian bush. Famous for his loud SNAP! he wakes up one day to find it is missing. The adventures begin when Bip and the bush animals unravel the mystery of where it has gone. The word ‘bungaroo’ is the name used for turtle by the Nadjan and Djirubal people of Far North Queensland. Illustrator Grace Fielding won the 1991 CBCA Crichton Award for the first edition of Bip the Snapping Bungaroo.
