Gaele Sobott was born in Yallourn, Victoria in 1956. She spent a large part of her life in Botswana and lived for some time in France and England before moving back to Australia. She has published a range of work including a collection of short stories, essays and children’s books. Gaele worked closely as a non-Indigenous collaborator with Wally Carr to provide a vivid account of his life story.
