When you purchase an online gift voucher, it will be automatically emailed to you. Once a gift voucher is received via email, you can send it on to a recipient’s email at any time. It can be used online or printed off to use in Magabala’s Broome bookshop.
When redeeming a gift voucher online, simply enter the barcode on the back of your gift card or the barcode on your online voucher into the ‘Gift card code’ field in the checkout. You will still need to enter your credit card details, but we will only charge you if your order exceeds the value of money your gift voucher is worth or has remaining on it.
Please allow 2-5 working days for our staff to pack your order. An email confirmation will be sent when your order is dispatched.
Shipping is a flat rate of $12 Australia wide. Magabala only ships to Australian addresses, please see information for International Web Customers below.
We send all parcels Express Post via Australia Post from Broome, WA. Please note, as a remote location, we are outside of the ‘Next Day Delivery’ network and some delivery delays may be experienced. Generally, titles in stock are delivered within 5–10 working days of payment.
If your order is out of stock, you will be notified and provided with an estimate time of arrival.
When placing an order for books through our website, please choose carefully. We do not give refunds if you simply change your mind or make an incorrect selection.
However, if your delivery is incorrect, please contact us immediately with your order number and we will arrange prompt replacement or refund where necessary.
Returns are accepted only in the case of faulty or damaged goods. In the event of faulty or damaged books, a refund is payable or credit applied, and we require a photo of the damaged goods and packaging please.
In the event that you receive a faulty or damaged book, we will refund the amount of the damaged item or provide you with another copy. Please contact us via email shop@magabala.com and we'll get back to you promptly.
Refunds will be processed within seven working days of receipt of the goods.
Magabala Books does not ship internationally. However, a number of Australian bookstores have online ordering and ship internationally, including:
