Glenyse Ward was taken from her mother when she was one year old and placed in an orphanage. She grew up at Wandering Mission, south east of Perth. She worked as a domestic servant then later as a nursing assistant. Largely self-taught, Glenyse has written two books and is working on a third. Her first book, Wandering Girl has been re-published in the UK and USA.
