Rae Harris is the co-author of The Dream. This book is no longer in publication.

Rae was born in Geraldton, Western Australia in 1905. Her mother was born in Farina, a small railway siding on the Ghan Line near Oodnadatta. Stories from Aboriginal people who lived there were retold to Rae during her own childhood. Rae settled in Perth during the 1930s. She was an Honorary member of the Royal Miniature Society and has contributed to two books on the techniques of painting.
